A digital destination to discover creative ways to connect with audiences

8th Wall’s WebAR lets brands tell stories and connect with audiences in exciting ways. But as the technology improved, many companies didn’t notice its new features as they weren’t easy to find on the website. Some invested a lot in WebAR but couldn’t use it for more than basic purposes. This made some switch to competitors with better, more reliable options.

Working with the lead designer, I redesigned the online experience to make it easier for brands to discover new features, build their own WebAR experiences, and grow their reach across different platforms.

UNDERSTANDING VALUE

Through the lens of brands, we explored the factors that drive decisions

Our research revealed that 70% of brands prioritize solutions that are easy to understand, versatile, and capable of growing with their needs. When brands see tangible evidence of measurable outcomes delivered for others, they are more likely to trust the value these tools can bring to their goals.

ALIGNING STAKEHOLDERS

Spotlighting the features essential for brand success

During a series of user interviews, we uncovered pain points and opportunities that sparked a new direction. Working alongside the lead product designer, I teamed up with stakeholders to pinpoint and prioritize features that make a big impact and scale across industries.

How a better layout helped brands achieve their goals

Brands were eager to create ad placements using WebAR, but the outdated website made it challenging to navigate and find key pages. This gave me the chance to improve the user journey, designing a clear flow of user goals from start to finish.

SOLUTIONS

Discover real world applications of WebAR

Brands can explore WebAR’s benefits and see real-world results through successful collaborations. They can swipe through examples and features to learn how it was used in practical ways, with links to more details.

Find the right platform to expand reach

Within 8th Wall’s network, brands can choose from a variety of formats and platforms. To help them find the best option, I redesigned the page with card layouts that highlight key benefits, explain how it works, and showcase social proof.

Get in touch with an expert to create your campaign

Brands can provide relevant information in the form, ensuring they reach the right point of contact quickly. Based on the requirements specified, experts can then ideate a customized WebAR ad campaign tailored to their needs.

TAKEAWAYS

Team perspective made my work better

I learned to seek feedback early from peers and stakeholders during design reviews and 1:1 meetings. This improved my design skills and collaboration across teams. Presenting designs, discussing direction openly, and using data to advocate for decisions were invaluable growth opportunities.

Simplify to design smarter

Designing for cross-platform taught me the importance of simplicity and clarity. Concise, scannable content and adaptable designs are key to ensuring compatibility across devices. One thing I would do differently is transform text-heavy content into well-structured designs to better enhance the user experience.
